Galapagos Wildlife & Adventure

Day 1 Transfer + Charles Darwin Research Station
The flight from Quito or Guayaquil to the Galapagos Islands takes approximately 2½ hours. Our Naturalist Guide will pick you up from Baltra airport to start your amazing adventure. Transferred by bus to the Itabaca Channel, where a 10 min ferry will take us across to Santa Cruz Island where we travel by car to the main town and your hotel for the evening in Puerto Ayora. Don’t forget to look out for Giant Tortoises during the journey!

In the afternoon, you will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station. Founded in 1959, this center for scientific research and environmental education is a must see for every visitor to the islands. The infamous Lonesome George can be seen here along with hundreds of young tortoises bred for future release across the islands.

Take the rest of the evening to enjoy the sights and sounds of this seaside town.

Day 2 : Isabela + Local Tour
At 7am, we adventure two hours west to the largest island in the archipelago, Isabela Island. After check-in and breakfast your morning is free to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches on offer. In the afternoon around  2 pm we set off by bike to visit the Wall of Tears, a famous historical site, built by the prisoners who were sent to Isabela in the 1940’s and 1950s. Complete your adventure on this island rich in wildlife by visiting the Flamingo Lagoon and Tortoise Reserve.

Day 3 : Visit Sierra Negra Volcano + return to Santa Cruz
Enjoy breakfast before heading off with a Galapagos National Park Certified Guide to the most amazing volcano in Galapagos, Sierra Negra. Snacks are included on this tour to keep your energy levels up as you trek up the large shield volcano to 1124m above sea level.

Coalescing with the volcanoes Cerro Azul to the west and Alcedo to the north, Sierra Negra last erupted in 2005 and remains the most active in the Galapagos. Return to Santa Cruz at 3 pm, to check in to your hotel and enjoy some free time.

Day 4 : Las Grietas + Tortuga Bay
After breakfast, take the path through the volcanic rock and bushland to cool off in the emerald green waters of Las Grietas. A natural pool dwarfed by rocky cliffs on either side, this is a favourite for swimmers and free divers alike.

In the afternoon have to adventure to Tortuga Bay and keep an eye out for sea lions and marine iguanas basking on the sand while white sharks and tropical fish can be seen under the water with a snorkel.

Day 5 Transfer out + Crater Twins + Airport
After breakfast at hotel, we will journey to the Twin Creaters in the highlands, a favourite spot for photo opportunities.
